Directed by Lucio Fulci — the Italian horror master behind such seminal works as Zombi 2 1979, City of the Living Dead 1980 and The Beyond 1981 — this stylish giallo is a riveting riff on Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo 1958. Also known under its alternative title One on Top of Another, the San Francisco-set film follows Dr George Dumurrier (Jean Sorel), a doctor with an ailing wife and dire financial woes. After his wife passes away and he receives a voluminous inheritance, he is confounded to encounter her exact double dancing at a trippy strip club called The Roaring Twenties. As he tries to make sense of this shocking scene, he ends up way over his head in a thrilling and winningly sleazy mystery.

This will be a rare screening of the longest extant version of the film, restored from original negatives and a positive 35mm print.
