Gena Rowlands plays Myrtle Gordon, an aging star as she prepares for the opening night of her Broadway play. After witnessing an adoring fan dying in a car accident, that may have been caused by her limo and amidst the pressures of the impeding performance, Mrytle slowly begins to unravel. Starring opposite Cassavetes as her on-stage husband in the play, Gena Rowlands's performance is a masterful dive into the complexities and craft of acting.
