About
Art imitates life, and life imitates art, in this sharply satirical black comedy by one of the trailblazers of pop cinema, Roger Corman.
Desperate to win the affections of the arts community that regularly frequent a beatnik café, busboy Walter Paisley (Dick Miller) accidentally stumbles across a unique (and macabre) form of artmaking that takes the art world by storm. Shot in just five days, this early directorial effort from cult favourite Roger Corman would set the tone for two future collaborations with writer Charles B. Griffith: The Little Shop of Horrors 1960 and Creature from the Haunted Sea 1961.
