About

Presented in conjunction with the GOMA exhibition 'The Human Factor' (31 Oct 2026 – 14 Mar 2027), this cinema program explores the networks of labour that sustain global supply chains, examining the inner lives of individuals who make and move things around the world. It brings together films that trace goods back to their points of genesis, give voice to the workers whose minds and bodies toil in increasingly mechanised spaces, and find the humanity within faceless and monolithic systems. Moving between the intimate and the infrastructural, these films respond to the artworks and themes of 'The Human Factor' exhibition, while delving into the hidden worlds behind a finished product in a consumer's hands.

Program curated by Robert Hughes, Australian Cinémathèque.
